Dodge Danko is an awful sequel that strips away all the qualities that made Dodge Danpei memorable, replacing its intense training, character development, and creative dodgeball matches with generic fan service and random dumb moments.

Dodge Danpei is my favorite anime of all time, I was praying for a sequel or a remake for decades, but I got something completley different from Dodge Danpei.

The characters in Danpei were badass, the art style was top-tier inspired by Dragon Ball, the matches were brutal and entertaining, the music was a flawless masterpiece, and the matches had lots of creativity with Danpei and others doing unexpected moves.

But this? What ... the heck is this? Making a sequel for an old anime to be just another generic goonbait for people who want to see children's panties and breasts. It is a disgrace to the original work.

Danpei suffered hellish trainings, experienced broken limbs, damaged eyes, near-death moments, and more to win his battles and become a stronger Dodge player.
Danko here barely trains and just fools around, yet she's able to do meme-tier moves out of thin air without prior training.

The opponents in Danpei had their own backstories, tragic moments, equally tough training, and unique personalities.
In Danko, everyone is either a dumb girl or a horny girl with no backstories, existing just to show off their panties and breasts.

The old opponents used to pull unique shots based on their skills (Arashi spinning his body to make a tornado-like shot, Taiga using rain to create blinding water shots, etc..), but now, everyone can make anything (a simple shot creates tornados, explosives, giant holograms using bees, etc...) random unbelievable stuff without any buildup or momentum.

The story is supposed to be about Danko trying to revive the old Dodgeball club by winning matches but the show got derailed into "I just want to play Dodgeball look at my panties and breasts to laugh now!!" memes after she lost a match.

The art style is ugly, the characters are lame, the setting is dumb, and the show is barely about dodgeball and more about girls doing dumb fan-service crap.
The setting is also really stupid. Everyone from the original cast had a daughter (nobody got a son), and there are only 2 male characters who are completely useless in every match and just appear to be scared cowards who get beaten up within seconds.

Besides the main character, no character here even has a real motivation or story like in Danpei. Everyone just pops up for fan-service.
A complete waste of time and only watchable if you are specifically interested in loli fan service.

If you got any dedicated threads about this show, you would realize nobody talks about the stories or matches, just the girls and their nude/butt moments. That's how much this show lacks any soul or value.

The only good thing I can say are the few funny moments from the long girl.

This season was incredibly boring. The journey of exploring the depths and searching for Riko's mother completely stalled, replaced by twelve episodes focused on an annoying, ugly girl, ugly alien-like creatures (they look similar to the aliens in Star Wars), and backstories for characters I simply couldn’t bring myself to care about.

There were also far too many disgusting scenes (pooping, vomiting, saliva everywhere, etc.), along with excessive suffering used for shock value because of something that supposedly happened many years ago. On top of that, we had pointless scenes about value systems, trading, and other things that felt like filler.

Even the fights weren’t good like ... they were in Season 1. They felt mindless and lacked any real tension or emotional weight.

This entire arc seemed to exist just to introduce Faputa, an annoying character with a weak backstory. It absolutely did not need to be twelve episodes long. For what amounts to a mediocre side story, that runtime was excessive.

Honestly, there isn’t much else to say. This season doesn’t offer many memorable or meaningful moments worth discussing.

I just hope the next season gets back on track and returns to what made the series compelling in the first place—exploring the depths, not focusing on irritating side characters.

Episode 1: 5/10: it was ok... but doesn't have any impact.
Episode 2: 10/10: Perfect! so sweet and emotional! really wish got more episodes like this of Digimon talking about their adventures, partners, memories, and growing up.
Episode 3: 9/10: Great episode for Jou and Gommamon and their relationship
Episode 4: 6/10: Just 2 friends messing around. it's cute stuff but can't say about that.
Episode 5: 4/10 wow this was awful. Not only it ruined one of the saddest moments from Adventures 01, but it was also a terrible end for a short anime.

overall it's not much, but episode 2 and 3 are a must-watch imo

I don't know why Tri got lots of hate. Sure it has flaws, but it's honestly a good watch.

I'm going to make this a short review for all 6 movies:
Pros:
- The story and tone are an interesting mix of Digimon 01 and Tamers
- Too many touchy moments that hit you in the feels
- Seeing the protagonists struggling between their adult lives and saving the world made them feel real and relatable
- The interactions and life between the Degidestined and their Digimon before a certain tragic event happens...
- Awesome fights that made me feel like I'm watching a mecha anime
- Great music
- New forms are cool. ... I always wished they had gotten them earlier, but I'm happy they finally did.
- Meicoomon is so cute, and its story is tragic.

Cons:
- Slow-paced, especially in movies 2 and 5.
- The Evangelion vibes and influence are way too obvious.
- Agumon's new personality that was demoted to being "i'm hungry" spammer
- The new kid, Mei is way too generic and cliche for a character

Overall, I liked Tri, but I wish it was shorter. Some of the long segments, like the school event, were unnecessary, for example.

If you loved Digimon 01 and want to see a darker sequel instead of the childish and noisy 02, you will like this one.

I wasn't expecting much from this when I saw the Netflix logo, but this is genuinely one of the worst anime I have ever watched.
Don't expect much Kaiju action, but a slow, boring talky snoozefest about stupid science tropes that don't even exist in our world and Indian gods out of nowhere.
The entire show feels like an online course, not a Kaiju show... you get only few minutes of Kaijus per episode, and everything else is just science gibberish and chatting with an annoying AI bot that acts more like a mascot character with human behavior than AI bot. Heck, it becomes kind ... of like a Digimon later. The last episode even feels like something out of Digimon with the digital world and stuff.

The writing is also horrendous.
The sentence "The Red Mist is an archetype" alone has been repeated like hundreds of times in the first half of the show lol
and then we have "Dr. Ishihara did that? did this?" and "we need le Orthogonal Diagonalizer" repeatedly for the second half.
The characters repeat themselves lots of times.

it feels like the staff didn't have a budget to animate Kaijus, so they coped out and made one of their rejected university essays/thesis as an anime.

you have an entire cast of overused template characters that you have seen in other shows, no originality (the dummy science girl, the hyperactive brown girl, the "idc what happens" glasses guy, the """Secret"""" bad guy that looks like a bad guy from his face, the messy science old man, the Levi clone, etc...) zero originality.
I also despise the carefree characters that do random stupid stuff to make the viewers "laugh" while the Kaijus are destroying the world.

Even though the setting is about the "catastrophe!! the end of times ZOMG!!", Some characters fool around with the AI with dumb comic relief jokes throughout the entire show.

And despite the show is called "godzilla", godzilla appears way too late, and doesn't even have much screentime; other Kaijus get more action than him too.

Even the finale is unsatisfying... everything is solved because the "haha funny" AI bot remembered "the solution"... that's it. that's the grand finale...

What an awful waste of time...
I hated this online course a lot.

Another shameless, pathetic attempt to get into the trending market and bring in fetishists as a new audience with the name Gundam.
This show's premise is "what if Zeon won OYW instead of EF?" but it hardly does anything with it.
What we have here? time wasting, cringe, moeblob, teenage drama with minimal focus on the mecha part.
too many feet scenes, NTR drama, hair smelling fetish, random "haha horny" moments, fan-service for a underage character, ugly meme-tier character designs, etc..

the mecha part? Another lame arena fighting called "clan battles" to make people think it's like those mobile phone games about clan fights, but it's random babbling until ... the plot-armor moe girl goes into a "Newtype space naked scene" and "i will scream to win" memes activate. extremely clichéd and overused tropes all over the place.

the fights are treated as "underground illegal battles" but everyone and their moms are watching it on public areas including politicians.

characters have no depth or originality, the mech designs are ugly and overdesigned, the battles are tired and boring of OP Gundam plot armor fest.

the only good thing that came off this show so far is episode 2, which was a cool homage to the original 0079 show.

too bad, looks like we are getting more of this junk like G-Witch and GQX considering the giant robot genre is practically dead.

This movie was awfully terrible (spoilers ahead)
It reused the same plot from Seed and Destiny, same cliche ideas again, same characters archetypes, and it even copied Gundam 00 and Unicorn' endings, and slapped some shounen tropes on top (one Gundam went Ultra Instinct Goku, another went Naruto, and everyone gains massive powerup by screaming and talking about friends/love).

I don't want to spoil more than that, but the movie was made to tell you, "hey remember that moment when this character did x, and y happened? here is it again."

The animations are outdated, the CGI looks very cheap, the characters look like they were AI generated, ... their lips don't even sync with their dialog.
Every frame looks like it's a mid-between frame. Heck, Gundam 00 (2007) looked miles better.
The animations only looked good during Battleships' action.
Even the OST is recycled from Seed/Destiny.

I really can't praise the movie for anything. Everything in it is recycled from older shows. Zero originality. It's literally a situation of "been there, saw that"

The original Macross anime was a unique show that delved into the profound themes of intergalactic discovery, mutual understanding, complex character development, and the struggles of humanity's survival. However, this movie seemed to have lost sight of the essence that made the series so special, as it turned into a mere two-hour advertisement for song albums.

One of the most glaring issues with this adaptation is the rushed and haphazard storytelling. The rich character development that made the original anime so compelling is completely lacking in this movie. Many characters seem to have lost their significance and screen time, leaving the audience disconnected and unsatisfied. The ... core essence of the story was butchered, reducing it to a mere fraction of its original depth and impact.

Moreover, the action sequences are now just pathetic mindless beam spam here. It's a far cry from the engaging and purposeful battles that were integral to the charm of the original show.

The movie's decision to omit crucial moments that were strong points in the original series only adds to my disappointment. The heartfelt episodes where the aliens explored and interacted with human culture have been reduced to shallow and fleeting moments centered around idol song clips. This change not only diminishes the emotional connection between characters but also disregards the profound messages that the original anime conveyed.

As someone who cherished Macross for its captivating story and meaningful themes, I found little in this movie that could convince me to replace the anime with it. If you have a penchant for frequent idol song interludes every ten minutes, you might find some enjoyment in this adaptation. However, for those of us who were drawn to Macross for its powerful narrative and profound messages, this movie fails to live up to its predecessor and is ultimately a major letdown.

I absolutely hated the first season but I thought I'd give Season 2 a try to see if there's an improvement and it will make WfM overall worth the watch. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
Season 2 left much to be desired and failed to fix the mistakes of the first season. From underdeveloped characters to a lackluster plot, this installment fell flat and "Whatever" ride again.

One of the most glaring issues with Season 2 was the lack of character development. It seemed as though the majority of the characters were merely placeholders, barely contributing to the overall plot. Many of the supporting characters lacked depth, ... and their actions felt arbitrary and inconsequential.

Despite the premises made in the first season, the duels, marriage, and even Elan's story felt utterly inconsequential in Season 2. The narrative seemed to meander aimlessly, with events unfolding in a haphazard manner. It was as if the writers were trying to fill the show with too many tropes and ideas from other shows until the last four episodes, which ultimately carried most of the weight and importance.

The climax of the series was a major letdown. With a rushed and unsatisfying conclusion, it became apparent that the series had squandered its potential. It felt as though the writers realized they had run out of time and hastily tied up loose ends without providing any satisfyingly battles or ending. Watching both seasons was time wasting honestly. There's nothing memorable or special about this show.
It's generic, bland, tasteless, and obviously trying to attract new fans by using Yuri and overused tropes and elements from other stories.

Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2 was a frustrating experience overall. The lack of character development, the insignificance of major events, and the overall filler-like nature of the majority of the season left me questioning the purpose and direction of the show. The rushed and unsatisfying ending only added to the disappointment, leaving a bitter aftertaste. As a fan of the Gundam franchise, I had hoped for so much more, but unfortunately, this installment failed to deliver.

At the end, this show will not be remembered for anything except that it disappointed both old Gundam fans and Yuri fans

You probably heard about the most underrated Gundam show, this is it!

A post-apocalyptic backdrop and great characters, Gundam X presents a tale of survival, hope, and the consequences of war.

Gundam X might looks like a what-if scenario of "what if Zeon dropped thousands of colonies instead of 1", but what sets Gundam X apart from other entries in the Gundam franchise is its unique setting and exploration of the aftermath of war. The series delves into the consequences of humanity's destructive tendencies and the struggles of those left behind in the war-ravaged world.

The characters in Gundam X are well-developed and relatable, each carrying their ... burdens and motivations. Garrod Ran, the protagonist, undergoes significant growth throughout the series as he learns the true meaning of hope and fights against despair.
What makes the main character here interesting is that he just a regular normal human, with no special power, or special abilities, or background experience in military or combat, yet he overcomes all of his obstacles through growth, skill and love for Tiffa. He loses, he fails, but never gives up... which is really a nice growing up development to watch.
The side characters are also similar to Garrod, normal people that just fight to live and seeing each of them develop and change throughout the show is sweet.

The setting is also refreshingly good. It's like an RPG game where the cast moves from town to town, meeting new friends and enemies and overcome trouble.

Visually, Gundam X looks outdated now and sometimes inferior to Wing (maybe just me), but still has detailed mecha designs and cool action sequences.

While Gundam X received mixed reception during its initial airing due to its slow paced storytelling in the early episodes, and maybe no mysterious evil bad guys like a Char Clone, it has gained a dedicated following over the years. Its exploration of complex themes and its ability to create an emotionally charged atmosphere make it a standout entry in the Gundam franchise.

In conclusion, Gundam X is a mecha anime that offers a unique post-apocalyptic experience. It's not deep, it's not complicated, it's not trying to re-invent the wheel. It's just trying to to tell a love story in a destroyed world full of hatred and evil, With its loveable characters, realistic narrative, and memorable mecha battles, it is a must-watch for fans of the Gundam series and those seeking a mecha show that isn't about OP main heroes, Newtype space magic or Overpowered broken mechs that never lose.
